“The Wind”

This is a poem I wrote a few months back. I have lost some pretty significant people in my life, but I actually wrote this for a friend who’s husband passed away abt 9mo ago….

Oh how I wish you were here.
I swear sometimes I can hear you whisper in my ear.
Things are so weird without you near…
Because with you, everything was so clear.
Sometimes I don’t know how to continue on with this burden to bare,
But I still have so many people that need me, love me, and care.
There are so many moments I wish we could share,
But I can breathe knowing one day we’ll be together up there.
Just like the wind which you can not see,
There’s a hole in my heart because you are the key.
I can’t wait until the day I can come meet up with you ~ what glee!
When we can be together again, for all eternity.
